OUR STORY

Torrefactora de Centroamérica is a company with more than 25 years of experience in the coffee industry.

We commercialize our roasted and instant coffee products nationally and internationally.

1975 - FOUNDATION

Comercial Exportadora is established in Santa Ana, El Salvador, as a processing and exportation plant for gold coffee.

1995 - BEGINNING

The COEXbrand is born as the production and marketing division for roasted coffee.

1998/2007 - GROWTH

The brand portfolio expands to satisfy different consumer segments:

Café Criollo, COEX Oro Premium & Coffee Nest.

2008 - MODERNIZATION

The coffee roasting and packaging plant is modernized by the addition of advanced machinery with greater production capacity.

2011 - INSTALLATION

Café Criollo Instantáneo, the instant coffee production line, is born.

2014 - INDEPENDENCE

The roasted coffee operation becomes separates itself from Comercial Exportadora to become an independent enterprise: Torrefactora de Centroamérica.

2019 - CERTIFICATION

TCA obtains the Food Safety Management

System FSSC 22000 certification,

becoming the only coffee roaster in El Salvador to have it.

OUR FACTORY

We possess specialized machinery for our roasted and instant coffees’ roasting, grinding and packaging processes. Due to the FSSC 22000 Certification (Food Safety System Certification), we have a Food Safety Management System which allows us to guarantee consistent quality to the consumer.

We are proud that our mill is the only roasting plant in El Salvador, and one of two in Central America, to have this certification.

SAFETY POLICY

TCA’s competent personnel is committed to producing and marketing coffee products that guarantee safety for consumers, complying with the relevant requirements and continuously improving our Food Safety Management System.

In addition, we follow the proper biosecurity protocols against the spread of COVID-19 to protect all involved in our supply chain and ensure the development of our work.
